A Matter of Fax and Paypal

So ... I've heard nothing from the company I bought my toner cartridge from. After 48 hours I accelerated the claim on paypal and they came back and said that their claims don't cover damaged items or items that were not as they were supposed to be - only shipping. What a waste.

Worked on 2008 scheduling at work today.

Need to look up wiki and figure that out. My sister told me about. Something new to learn.

Genealogy

I got through my talk in church yesterday on temple work and family history. I was really pleased that Steve did as well as he did. He got up and spoke as if he was just sitting at the table and talking to friends.

Now I have to start working on my lesson for Sunday.

I spent the afternoon yesterday working on my genealogy file. Got alot entered and when I was ready to start printing, I opened up the new cartridge of toner I had just gotten this week, and found it was damaged. The toner spilled all over me.

I was really surprised at myself, because I really got ticked . . . which is not me at all.

I ordered another cartridge from Quill today and have filed a claim with paypal on the other. We'll see how it all goes.

Bought groceries today and entered more into my PAF file. I was excited because I'm adding pictures I've scanned with my file and they print with the family group sheets. Its really kind of neat to see their faces with their information. I went through the box of pictures from Mary Frances. I was surprised to see that I easily have at least another 100 pictures to scan.

Yipes. I'm thinking I might go ahead and set up a website with the pics so others can have access to them.

Did 50 names on indexing today.

19 October 2007 - Romney

So ... big surprise ... a Dallas minister from FBC decides Mormons are not Christian. I wish everyone would just read Jeffrey Holland's talk from General Conference and figure out what the truth is.

Gads ... people can be ignorant.

Its nice to know some Baptists think we're Christians. My dear aunt Mary Frances believes I'm saved , Mormon and all.

17 October 2007

Thought I would try and add some pics of my family.

L-R, Holli, Stephen, Kristin - my kids - my pride and joy - and my loves.
(single)

My much . . . younger sister, Jeanette

My husband - my forever companion

My Yorkie - Benson

My mother-in-law, Helen
Age 86

About to head off to the gym, and start my day.

10:56 p.m. - Spoke with the hospice nurse earlier today - Helen has dropped down to 117 lbs. and has stopped eating for the most part. Eating just enough to stay alive.

I didn't call Peggy. My sister said I always say I won't, but do. I didn't.

16 October 2007

Today was quiet at work. I did some scanning this afternoon on family pictures on the Conine line and downloaded them to Flickr this evening for family to have access to them.

Joyce Davis spoke to me and said she'd seen Helen, my mother-in-law, earlier today and that she didn't appear to be doing well. I went by on my way home. She has seriously deteriorated over the last 2 weeks. I walked her from the front room and down the hall to her room and it took about 10 minutes. When I got her to her room, I had to lift her up and lay her in her bed. I took her shoes off and sat with her for awhile. I can't help but believe, her time is limited here.

I called Peggy when I left and updated her. I don't think I'll call her anymore. Its too upsetting to both of us.

I'm excited about my genealogy. I'm beginning to feel a real connection to my ancestors.
